Teignmouth is set in the heart of Glorious South Devon. The promenade at Teignmouth has a number of flower beds on one side and a long sandy beach on the other. A children's paddling pool is situated on the promenade as well as a Victorian Pier.

At the end of the promenade you will find the mouth of the Teign Estuary. Take a ferry across the River Teign to the small village of Shaldon. Take a walk on the river beach, a bustling place containing beach huts, fishing boats, boats for hire and waterside Inns.

Teignmouth has a working harbour and it is often possible to see one or more ships in the port being unloaded of its goods. Clay is a popular export from this port. Teignmouth has been an important port for hundreds of years.
