St Ives situated in West Cornwall has one of the most beautiful gold sandy beaches in Europe. Famous for its clear crystal waters and rolling surf, St Ives has been awarded membership of 'The most Beautiful Bays in the World' club. St Ives and Mounts Bay are the only beaches in the UK to receive this acolade.

St Ives harbour is full of activity with small fishing boats coming and going with their catch. St Ives lifeboat station stands proudly on the harbour as a signal to the towns commitment and service to seamen.

To the South of St Ives is the resort of Carbis Bay with its own superb beach. Beyond Carbis Bay, the charming village of Lelant with its granite church lies above the Hayle Estuary with wonderful areas of soft golden sand.

A park and ride service operates from Lelant into St Ives along the scenic St Ives branch line allowing visitors to relax without the stress of driving.

Carbis Bay is very sheltered and is an ideal beach for families. Water-skiing, parascending and windsurfing are among the numerous sports enjoyed at Caris Bay.

Trewyn Gardens at St Ives can be found in the heart of the town. St Ives and Carbis Bay are regular Britain in Bloom Award winners with their superb floral displays, tubs and hanging baskets.
