Polperro is located in the South East of Cornwall. It is a quaint little village with winding narrow streets that lead down to a natural harbour. Polperro is a traffic free village. All visitors must park on the main car park at the top end of the village and either walk through the village or take a trolley bus or horse drawn wagon.

Because of the natural harbour, Polperro was popular with smugglers who would smuggle their contraband of liquors and tobacco into the village and then on its route to London over ancient tracks across Bodmin Moor.

The River Pol runs through the heart of Polperro which is tightly packed into a steep valley. The village consists of colour-washed cottages and twisting streets, Saxon and Roman bridges, the famous House on the Props and the old Watch House - all coming together to make Polperro one of the most beautiful villages in Cornwall.
