There are a number of ways to get to the Isles of Scilly making it very easily accessible from wherever you are travelling.

Scheduled flights are available to the Islands from Lands End, Exeter, Bristol, Plymouth and Newquay operated by Isles of Scilly Travel. Alternatively you take the helicopter from Penzance to the Islands (operated by Scotia Helicopter services).

A daily ferry is available using the Scillonian III passenger ferry from Penzance through the summer season to St. Mary's.

If you are travelling by car, the M5 runs to Exeter. From Exeter take the A30 to Penzance. You will need to leave your car at Penzance if you are taking the ferry or the helicopter or at Lands End (or any other airport) if you are travelling to the Islands by air. Alternatively use may wish to take the train. Great Western Trains operate a fast and frequent service from London Paddington to Penzance. Virgin Trains offer fast and frequent services from all major UK destinations to Penzance. Both companies offer direct services every day of the year.

You may wish to travel to Penzance by coach. A number of independent coach firms operate services to Penzance and National Express operate coach services throughout the year with National Connections.
