There are lots of things to do in Exmouth. Exmouth lies at the mouth of the River Exe Estuary and has two miles of golden sands. The Exmouth Nature Reserve spreads across a large part of the estuary and is home to many birds and wildlife. Exmouth is at the start of the East Devon Way - a coastal walk that passes inland all the way to Lyme Regis covering a distance of 100 kilometres and includes county walks, cliff top walks and coastal walks.

Exmouth town centre has a wide variety of shops including high street names as well as small specialist shops and an indoor market. There are a number of parks situated in and around the town which are ideal breaks to escape during a shopping trip,

There are a number of different sporting activities that can be enjoyed in Exmouth. Windsurfing tuition is provided at Exmouth and there are a host of other water activities including power boat rallying and water skiing that can be undertaken on the coast and on the River Exe. Exmouth Sports Centre has 2 heated swimming pools and Cranford Sports Club has an outdoor heated swimming pool, sports hall and badmington courts.

There are a host of activities and attractions to do right throughout the year and especially in the summer season. Exmouth carnival week is held annually in July and an illuminated winter carnival is held in October.

There are a number of places to eat and drink in Exmouth including cafes, take-aways, pubs and restaurants. Exmouth has excellent nightlife with a number of pubs and clubs.

Take a trip on the water ferry to Starcross from where you can take a leisurely walk to Dawlish or take the train and spend the day in the City of Exeter.
