Brixham, along with Torquay and Paignton is the third resort comprising the English Riviera. Brixham is the smallest town of the three, but is world famous for its historic fishing port. The port at Brixham dates back to the 1600's and by 1850 was said to be the largest fishing port in Britain. Even today, Brixham is one of the busiest fishing ports in the UK.

Life in Brixham therefore centres around the harbour, here you can find many harbourside shops, watch the fishermen unload their catch, admire the skill of the numerous artists that gather at 'Artists Corner' and sample freshly caught seafood from one of the harbourside fish stalls.

Away from the harbour you will find the many narrow, winding streets crammed with gift shops, and amusements as well as a host of national stores and banks and building societies.

With breath taking views across Torbay to Torquay, Brixham has something to offer everyone, young and old.
